Mercer University appoints Study Group as exclusive international postgraduate recruitment partner
Mercer University has appointed Study Group as the University’s exclusive international recruitment partner for postgraduate study. The well-respected private university, with campuses in Macon and Atlanta, offers a range of STEM-designated programs to more than 9,000 students, more than 4,000 of which are graduates or professionals.
The partnership broadens Study Group’s portfolio of U.S. partners to 12 universities for which the company delivers marketing, recruitment and admission services to pair international students wishing to study in the U.S. with appropriate study programs at highly respected universities. Across the portfolio, more than 400 degree programs include opportunities for the STEM Optional Practical Training (OPT) Extension, so international students can apply for a 24-month extension beyond their original post-completion OPT and gain real-world work experience at internationally reputed employers.
Mercer University is ranked in the top tier of national universities by U.S. News & World Report (2025) and offers a rich selection of STEM-designated graduate programs, including innovative engineering programs with a global reach and a Pharmacy program that is ranked No. 60 in the U.S. (U.S. News & World Report, 2024). The campus in Atlanta is close to a thriving international community, and the university itself offers a welcoming environment to enrolled students from more than 50 countries. Furthermore, the university delivers a strong return on investment, with a national ranking of No. 40 Best Value School (U.S. News & World Report, 2025).
Around 1.5 hours drive from Atlanta, the state capital of Georgia, Mercer University’s Macon campus neighbors a bustling downtown that boasts a variety of restaurants and cultural historic venues. The city also has spacious parks and green spaces to explore. Nearby Atlanta is ranked 8th in the U.S.’s Best Student Cities index and is the sixth largest metropolitan area in the U.S. Students will discover a wide variety of cultures and experiences in Atlanta, as well as easy access to Hartfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, named the busiest airport in the world for 2023 and 2024 (OAG).
