Globally-respected Bellerbys brand enters a new phase this year as global education experts Study Group launch Bellerbys Global in Beijing, Nanjing, Xi'an and the Greater Bay Area.

International education provider Study Group is delighted to announce the launch of Bellerbys Global, with Study Centres in four locations in China and with plans well underway to expand further.

  • Our aim is, over time, to create the same high-achieving, global cohorts for which Bellerbys College in the UK was known and respected by ensuring the highest quality delivery and assurance of our foundation curriculum.
  • Pathway programmes delivered in partnership with local providers overseen by Study Group and in line with other pathway programmes will offer the opportunity for students to successfully prepare for admission to degree level study at higher education institutions globally.
  • Bellerbys Global will expand further in the years ahead keeping pace with changing trends in international education and student choice.

According to CEO Ian Crichton:

“The launch of Bellerbys Global in China marks a new phase for an international education brand trusted over many years for providing a high-quality education. For over 40 years, Bellerbys taught many thousands of students who went on to study successfully in top universities, but as student demand changed it became clear that there is a growing interest in studying preparatory programmes closer to home. This is the inspiration behind Bellerbys Global — ensuring excellent standards of academic English and study skills in an international education context but offering that in the home region, making that transition easier and reducing accommodation and travel costs for students and families.”

Bellerbys Global will begin operations in China this academic year with three partners and will then expand quickly further afield, providing more students with access to Bellerbys programmes.

  • New partnerships have been established with New Oriental Vision Overseas, launching two campuses in Beijing and Nanjing in year one and expanding to additional locations in future years.
  • Study Group has partnered with Xi'an Eurasia University, a leading private and innovative university to serve the northwest region of China in its garden-like campus located in the centre of the ancient city of Xi’an.
  • Study Group has established the partnership with Falcon Education who will host Bellerbys Global at Beijing Normal University and Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (UIC) in Zhuhai, situated in the heart of the Greater Bay Area.

According to Provost and Chief Academic Officer Professor Elena Rodriguez-Falcon:

“We are pleased to work closely with our partners in China to build on our own four decades of expertise in delivering high-quality international education programmes, ensuring rigorous common standards across multiple locations. We have carefully selected our partnerships with high-academic standards and facilities in mind, and are confident that excellent teaching, support, attainment and progression will make Bellerbys Global a hallmark of quality in international education pathways overseas.”

Study Group has already secured formal recognition of the programme from 32 universities who will consider successful Bellerbys Global students under the normal pathway admissions processes.

Looking forward, Bellerbys Global will be expanding through partnerships with new providers and seeking new recognising universities globally.
